Artwork description:

I love to view the work of Hockney, it always make me smile and feel happy, then I watched a programme on the television about a stained glass window he has designed and installed in Westminster Abbey, it was amazing and I was totally inspired.
My hawthorn tree in the garden still had some blooms on it so I rushed out to pick a few and draw them and the leaves.
So began the cutting of the plate for this lady whose dress is composed of flowers and leaves cascading around her body.
The plate was inked and printed with deep embossing which catches the light, it is one of my favourite pieces, she is printed onto 300gsm Somerset Velvet Paper
