The Lighthouse near Hirtshals is a fascinating place in every season. Walking around the elegant yet defiant building, you almost feel some kind of gravity when approaching the building ensemble. I created this picture in autumn when the sun was at a low point and helped to stage the long dune grass in a very warm light, contrasting with the already cooler October sky.

Original oil painting on high quality gallery wrapped canvas on a wooden wedge frame with no visible staples. The artwork is painted with brushes and high standard, non-toxic and no fading paint, finished with varnish including UV protection. I use to give the narrow sides of my paintings a final painting layer in white which serves as a form of framing and contrast to any wall colour. The motif itself is not painted to the edges. There is an all-round white space of approximately 2cm remaining as a technical mean to emphasize the process character of the painting. If you would like to add a frame to the artwork, I would recommend a shadow joint frame.
My paintings are shipped in a cardboard with protective layering and insured for the value, send only via a tracked courier like for example UPS or DHL.
