A flying hippo.
This portrait has been made using the "chine-collé" technique in which the image is transferred onto a surface that is bonded onto a heavier support in the printing process, in this case the image is transferred to an old encilopaedia's paper which is bonded to a 350 grms Fabriano paper, afterwards this old paper is tinted using watercolours.
I always use the finest quality materials including archival acid-free printmaking paper and environmentally friendly printing inks.
All my editions are signed and numbered at the base of the image.
As each of these prints is handmade there will be some very slight variation between them.
Orders are wrapped in acid-free tissue, packed between two layers of board in a reinforced envelope, and they are dispatched, signed and tracked, within five days (maximum).
