The inspiration for this painting comes from a work I greatly admire, "The Monarch of the Glen" by Sir Edwin Landseer. My purpose was to capture the characteristic haughty and honorable expression of this beautiful animal.
I work with top quality materials. In this case, gouache on 300 gm archival paper.
