The Downs by the Sea” is an imaginative view of the Sussex South Downs, describing the typical soft flow of the landscape with Brighton's old West Pier and the sea in the foreground. The image size is approximately 14 cm in height and 45 cm in length with a paper margin of about 5 cm all around. The steel plate has been cut by hand to achieve a slightly curvy image edge.
Each one is an original fine art print, hand printed on acid free fine art printmaking paper, in an edition of 45 with slight colour variations within the edition.

Materials used:

Steel plates, aquatint and line etching, etching press, inks, fine art printing paper
