Story about the painting:

"When creating this painting, I connected the motifs of ancient Greek mythology with Christianity.
In Greek mythology, the ferryman Charon transported the souls of the dead on his boat across the rivers Acheron and Styx, which separate the worlds of the living and the dead.
I freely transferred this motif to the Christian heaven. On a barge accompanied by a swarm of fish (symbols of Christianity), the souls who have already completed the earthly pilgrimage sail to heaven.
The same features of all the faces testify to the fact that in heaven all are equal, that there is no difference between them.

The main idea is the de facto Equality of people, which we should be better aware of and practice already in our daily earthly life. Nothing prevents it."

Materials used:

high-class fine artistic oil colors
