At the beginning of July and the Summer of purple heather, I painted this on location. Beautiful scenery in Woking and classic heather Common land. Part of the Surrey Heathland Trust and Horsell common. Painted using palette knife and exploring shaper tools to make the contrast in branches sky and trunks of those white birch.
