Artwork description:

A happy minimalist image in colours of Summer.

I just feel so happy when I look at this image! It conjures up the memory of standing on the clifftop near the studio, looking out over Summer water towards Rona and Mainland Scotland as the sun came up. In a blush of mist that was lifting gradually, a sunshine of yellow popped through a hazy blue violet sky. Hints of the mountains in the distance and mauve tones in fluffy clouds.

This is a single image made in the camera using subtle movements as I take the picture. Once I have captured the original image, I work to bring out the emotion, colour and sensation that inspired the image. Each time the results are exciting and new. I am drawn to the fabulous aqua colour of the water around the Scottish Islands and I love to bring out this and the fresh, calming atmosphere of the island landscape.

I hope, that when hanging on your wall, this lovely piece takes you to a beautiful place in your life when you stood and gazed in wonder at what Nature has created.

The canvas is signed, titled and numbered on the front. It has a 2 inch white border for the framer to use to stretch around the frame.

I photograph and print every image, I do not outsource any part of my workflow. Each canvas has been painstakingly crafted to ensure the true colours, resolution and texture are exactly as they should be.
