I was astounded by the number of glorious, graceful, curvy 1930s buildings in Haifa, exceeding my expeditions after setting out on a photography/painting visit. Yet unlike Tel Aviv, they are left in genteel poverty, their concrete rotting, their “thermometer” windows dirty and degraded. I fell in love with all of them, my pace rapid and excited as I snapped, and explored and reverently noted them. The work is a perfect addition for an architect or Art Deco enthusiast, a great souvenir of Haifa.
Texture has been added to create extra depth. The canvas is 0.5 inches deep and can therefore hang without a frame if wished.
