Absolutely stockstill and very watchful, making sure no one steals those delicious nettles! I am a bit in love with geese of all kinds, they are so fun to watch, so regal, and yet so silly!
"Guarding the nettles" is printed form 2 different plates, the bottom plate is rolled up in the 3 different colors of blue, green and the yellow of the beaks, I roll up very freehand, so there are variations from print to print, no print is exactly like the next, on top of this, i print the geese, they are actually 2 plates, with some smaller pieces of carved lino that i roll up in a really dark green, that complements the print brilliantly! I am very happy with this print, if I may say so myself! ;o))
All my linocuts are handprinted by me, the artist, and I sign, title and number each print.
"Guarding the Nettles" is printed in a short edition of 75 prints,
please note, you might not receive the number seen in the photograph and there are color variations.
The linocut itself measures 13" x 22", (33cm x 56cm )
and the beautiful piece of clear and crisp white Zerkall
printmaking paper measures 25" x 17", (64cm x 44cm)
Linocuts are wonderful graphic pieces of printmaking, that can make for a real focal point in your room, you are so welcome to ask me about framing advice etc. The home interior photo is not entirely to scale.
I'll mail your linocut to you protected by tissuepaper , it comes with a flier explaining what a linocut is. I am very happy to giftwrap!
If you have any questions just get in touch..... that's what I am here for!
Thanks for looking and welcome back.
