Graceful Glance - Original Pencil Head Study

This raw and immediate pencil sketch features a profile portrait of a woman with headscarf and a loosely rendered background of banana leaves.

For me the main interest was the gorgeous way her hair fell and the way in which the headscarf wraps itself into her tresses.

This is an original pencil sketch on Canson acid free 90gsm paper.

The paper has undulations all over it and is definitely not smooth and flat but once framed this fact should not take anything away from the work.
