Travelling is only one aspect of life which has been impacted by coronavirus. The ability to escape a busy city for countryside at the drop of a hat was no longer. During the first month of lockdown I began to make a list of the things I looked forward to and places I would like to visit. This piece was inspired by the idea of daydreaming and that its ok to let our minds wonder around the good things. I wanted the piece to have some body and movement so used monoprinting combined with vintage photos and the headlines of current newspapers.
