Original artwork description:

This is a painting sketch of an American boy who is from the era of slavery, dressed in the clothes associated with George the Third.

I have chosen this form of costume being that this era, through the research I have been doing, was at a peak during the reign of George the Third, until this path led to the American Revolution, due to increased taxation by England, eventually leading to the American Civil War and promises made to American slaves by Abraham Lincoln and the abolition of slavery.

Materials used:

Watercolour paint on watercolour paper.
