Artwork description:

During a trip to the Antarctic in 2018, I made lots of sketches and small paintings and, of course, took many photos! I am working on a suite of prints based on our trip (of a lifetime).

This reduction linocut portrays the tensions in close quarters of the rookery as penguins defend their nesting spots from passersby or potential pebble thieves.

This print is a variable edition print and is available with the coloured background and in a simpler, more graphic black and white style (listed separately).

relief printing ink, carved linoleum block, printmaking paper
