'Gentle Unfolding' is a painting that incorporates many of the usual themes of my portraits and figurative art.

Themes such as blossoming, being true to yourself and emerging into calm after chaos, cultivating a sense of authenticity etc. I pulled this image out of an abstract background, which is something I've been exploring lately with other pieces too. She is a part of what's going on around her but also a person in her own right, separate from it, but emerging after having learned so much.

I've used watercolour paints and watersoluble crayons in this piece and it measures approx. 6" x 8". It will be delivered securely in a reinfored board backed envelope marked with 'please do not bend'
