One of my favourite scenes to paint. The path up to the Art room. The other morning it was very frosty and the sun was shining on the big house at the top of the lane. All the hedgerows were full of plant skeletons and frosted grasses and the trees looked black against the morning sky. I love the very frosted green of the fields - almost white, almost blue but not quite, so hard to capture but I had fun doing it.
The lane is Hammonds End Lane in Hertfordshire but could be any English country lane in late winter /early spring.
The painting is supplied rolled in a tube. I would suggest a cream mount and pale grey frame and I can supply these at extra cost.
