Original artwork description:

The series: Feelings, is composed of works in mixed technique and printing either inkject (paper) or by heat transfer (canvas). From a feminine perspective I talk about the mystical ties between women and nature, part of the works are digital drawings made with my ipad that I print and color by hand making them unique. Everyone relates primitive painting with random lines and dots to the most realistic drawing so that we do not forget the role we had in nature, ingenuity, ephemerality, simplicity, are almost lost properties in a world that is increasingly distant from the primary.

The advent of the seasons (spring), the importance of the natural cycle in crops and plants, pollen, the fertilization of our fields, the extinction of insects, are problems that I try to address in this series, all linked to the female figure as the central axis and symbol of fertility and life.

Many of my watercolors are deformed, this is normal because I use a lot of water and the paper does not absorb it regularly, it is not a deficiency of the paper or its quality, it is the reaction of the fibers to excess water, which is an element essential in my work.

I use prints because I can no longer dedicate too many hours to drawing, I can't keep my eyes fixed for many hours continuously. I believe that works of art should be accessible to everyone, they express feelings, emotions, concepts and the only way to produce more and at a better price is by automating part of this process. That is why many works have the marks on the edges of the rollers of my printer, I do not erase them and I leave them as an example that machines also make mistakes and they are instruments that we should not make extensive use of.

From the series: Feelings "The Rite of Spring".
Stravinsky's well-known ballet "The Rite of Spring", with its motifs of death and rebirth as rites of nature, gives the title to one of the most ambitious novels by Alejo Carpentier, whose plot revolves around two characters: Vera, Russian dancer who fled her country after the events of 1917, who performs in Diaghilev's company, and Enrique, a member of a wealthy Cuban family, who, due to his militancy against the Gerardo Machado dictatorship, is forced into exile in Paris. bohemian of the thirties. This work defends culture as a whole belonging to humanity. Through the deductions of its protagonist Vera, it rules out the staunch defense of Western culture, which cannot find a way to delimit or define it. Carpentier states that it is transculturation that enriches every human culture, and that framing them is a mistake.
