Feeling the rush of the fresh Spring breeze, as I walk through the meadows bursting with new goodness. The wild campion is dancing, full of energising beauty and vibrant colour…I feel a great sense of freedom here.

Responding to these natural influences, my visual memories and the feeling of the breeze on my face, the painting is developed with loose and expressive palette knife strokes, in mindful play between paint and canvas. Layers and texture create depth and vibrancy. I scribe through the wet paint with my palette knife to convey movement as I seek to capture the feeling of that blustery Springtime moment.

Executed with professional oil paints on high quality stretched canvas, with universal primer, and with softwood stretchers. Canvas size is 20 x 20 x 2 cm depth. The image is extended on the sides of the canvas creating a 3-D effect. The painting is professionally framed set within a contemporary white wood frame to beautifully compliment this piece.
