ARTWORK CURRENTLY EXHIBITING IN NEW MILL ART TRAIL FROM THE 9TH - 25TH SEPTEMBER. IF PURCHASED I'LL POST STRAIGHT AFTER THE THE SHOW IT TAKEN DOWN.
This is Vol 1 of my Foxes in the Sun Triptych .
While I was living in Bristol I had a family of foxes that sunbathed on the lawn at the back of the house. I sketched and photographed them over several months. It proved quite a challenge as I was desperately to imbue them with the warmth of the summer sun.
This work was created in the hope of keeping a little bit of summer in the house through the dark winter months. One accidental quality I am very proud of it that is changes colour dependent on the light, the high gloss finish mirroring the time of day. My favorite time is at dusk, where they look like they are sucking in the last rays of the day.
