Artist's description:

This is a drawing of a tropical rattlesnake I encountered in the wild in Costa Rica. Not one of my smarter moves in retrospect, but I did get a good reference photo. These snakes are more dangerous than North American rattlers in that their venom contains neurotoxins, in addition to the usual bad stuff. Not my usual subject matter, but I found it strangely fascinating.
