Original artwork description:

If I had already started a series of paintings dedicated to Africa, I could not help but paint a picture with beautiful flamingo birds.
I admire them, like so many people. Of course, first of all, the colour of their plumage attracts.
Moreover, it would not be so interesting if the flamingos were of uniform pink colour. But no, their colour is from pale pink to red. The colour of flamingos depends on the time of day and on the lake where the flamingos live.
It is proved that the red colour of flamingos is directly dependent on nutrition. Flamingos feed on small molluscs, algae, and mainly crustaceans. It is these small red crustaceans that contain the carotenoid. This is the substance that colours the carrot, beloved by many, and oranges, too.
It turns out that the more crustaceans in a pond, the redder the feathers of a flamingo.
