Original artwork description:

Fine layers of oil stain built up to give rich depth. The final layers grow heavier, especially in the 'fire'. The painting is meant to yield an emotional reaction to the counterbalance of the cool blue with almost tree like structures to the right and the fire at the bottom. I find myself always coming back to the balance of our dual nature of both calm and passion, even when I'm trying to focus just on colour. These colours tell the narrative of that balance.
