This warm fern artwork is painted with contemporary markmaking and some added paint drips, to simulate the feel of movement. These ferns are based on my photographs of the fern forests in Western Massachusetts - the light ferns, I'm told, are a prehistoric fern that I'd never seen before. Glorious!
