I adore driving past the farm here that have sheep and lambs almost all year round, my husband gets a bit annoyed over my constant cooing...;o)) and almost always tells me how good they taste, that makes me speed up as I am not so good with that life is brutal !!
WHAT IS AN ETCHING?: a handprinted aquatint etching, this means that as the artist, I create a copperplate that holds the image, from this copperplate I print an edition, every time a print is printed, the copperplate has to be inked up. Aquatint is a printmaking technique that involves rosin, heat, and lots of patience! The really nice thing with an etching in a digital world is that is is hand printed from start to finish!
You can see me making and etching/aquatinting a copperplate if you go to the "me at work" section in this shop.
SIZE: I printed my sheep in a lovely chocolate brown with a dash of green grass on a piece of beautiful warm white printmaking paper,
the image measures 14 " x 5.5",(35 cm x 14 cm)
the size of the paper is 17" x 9" (43 cm x 23 cm)
EDITION: I sign, title and number each print.
My Sheep are printed in a limited edition of only 50 prints.
Please note that I can't guarantee that you receive the number in the photograph.
SHIPPING: I'll mail your etching protected by tissue paper and cellophane, it comes with a pretty flier explaining what an etching is.
If you have any questions, don't hesitate to get in touch, I'd love to hear from you!
