This is a New addition to our series created on repurposed sections of Sailboat canvas. This artwork measures 32.5 x 18 inches. It was inspired by conversations with a dear Pastor friend of mine about his son who is a musician and has come out with his newest Gospel album. The name of it is FAITH and that word has consumed my mind ever since that conversation. This painting popped in my mind and I just had to paint it to get it out! Hah! I feel like it has been planted in my mind and it is meant for me to paint this one for someone. God works in such mysterious glorious ways that we are not worthy to know. The title of this artwork will be" FAITH, Crossing Broken Bridges to Peace and Salvation". I have put many subtle references to the struggles we have as Christians. One reference is that the bridge is broken... but if you have faith the Holy Father will protect you from disaster as you walk back to Jesus. Other hidden points are you walk from darkness to the light. The dark birds of evil swarm in the darkness ( a hint to Mordor) as the the white dove and birds (angels) of light swarm on the side of light. Also on the fallen bridge on the light side you can find three crosses referencing Jesus dying on the cross for our salvation. There are several more...for you to search out! As you can see these sections of sailboat sail canvas are very rustic. They are unraveled on the edges and wrinkled... like a piece of a sail found on the beach of a lost ship. I feel it would look great hung on a wall with tacks, or matching colored push pins. I think it looks awesome with the slight wrinkles and imperfections. You can even participate in the creation of this artwork by unraveling it more if you want to make it look more distressed. The larger artworks will be rolled up and put ion a cardboard box tube. These artworks are for special people who are like me in that they hate to discard things that can be repurposed into works of art. On this particular artwork I have not unraveled the edges yet, This way you can have the fun of doing that or I will do that for you before I send it.
