Original Pen and Ink drawing of a Seagull drawn and painted in March 2016, using watercolour paper, Indian ink, dip pen and Schminke Artists' quality watercolours. Dottles of watercolour are used to add texture and there is a liveliness to the drawing created through the line variations and splatters produced by a traditional dip pen.
Motivated by a love of drawing birds and painted as a personal challenge to paint a bird a day and as part of an Artfinder "Daily Artwork" challenge. See the whole collection here:
Over time these birds will all be for sale through Artfinder and progress can be followed here, or through my Twitter and Instagram feed.
Painting references have been sourced through a lovely community of photographers who allow their beautiful photos to be used as Inspiration.
