* It is the extraordinary night in Broadway, New York city. People are walking down around 57 street overlooking Chrysler building.
It is also light rain drizzling under dimming green lights, warm lights from shop windows makes such cozy evening, a lady is checking her phone around 7 pm, it must be an ordinary night, but artist makes a big deal out of this and create an extra ordinary night.
* Now I must compare this painting to Edward Hopper's "Night Hawks", because we both painting scene of Manhattan evening, but the painting seems strikingly different not by the technique but becuase of the different impression we get. There is not enough light and shadow in this painting to observe the depth of night street, if you compare, but this painting has different purpose in which artist explore night fantasy and happiness, and slightly more optimistic than Hopper's paining.

* My observation is nothing to do with quality of painting, I am just looking at two different characters.
