This painting was created as one part of a diptych called 'Overture to Expulsion' and a follow up to 'Prelude to Expulsion' which sold at auction many years ago. The painting shows Eva after eaing fruit that has turned brown and is rotting.

The painting is an exploration into Genesis mythologies and supposed tale of change from divinity to human, or the gaining of awareness - symbolic of one becoming aware of mortality and morality. An awareness of the self.
