Autumn has a mystical quality about it at times with its subdued palette of colours and opaque skies.
Painting was conceived last winter and is derived from a real scene. What made it unusual was the distant 'tunnel' effect of the trees almost akin to a railway tunnel but in this case not made by man. I have wanted to attempt this kind of landscape for years but never got round to it.
Painting has sides painted so may be hung without frame. Its on a professionally made canvas stretcher which is properly braced. Its quite a large piece (40x30 inches) so postage reflects that. If you need a specific postage quote for a country not mentioned in shipping let me know and I will obtain one for you.
