Equilibrium_211 is a drawing on paper that combines an expressive shape in sumi-e ink with strong geometric shapes in fineliners and markers. The drawing integrates the finely textured cardboard background as a grey geometric shape (triangle) by cutting off the corner of the paper to create an interesting and somewhat unconventional composition. As my other drawings, drawing takes inspiration from the Russian avantgarde / constructivism and Nordic illustrative art styles, combining them in a contemporary manner.
