An original, handmade collage of the ' Wren Chapel' in Emmanuel College, Cambridge.

Emmanuel college, founded in 1584, commissioned a new chapel in the late 17th century by Sir Christopher Wren. This collage of Wren's chapel & cloisters aims to reflect Emmanuel's rich history, eminent alumni and unique spirit by using a variety of paper materials relevant to the scene.

The Great Oriental Plane Tree, a prodigious collection of ducks and links to Harvard University are all important features to Emmanuel college and thus feature in this picture.
It includes; extracts from Luis Cernuda's 'El arbol' poem & music from Handel's Ombra Mai Fui (both inspired by the great oriental Plane Tree), local maps, founding history, text pertaining to Sir Christopher Wren & John Harvard and finally a few facts on mallard ducks!

This picture comes framed in a simple white, wood frame with ivory mount. A description of the contents of the collage is signed and attached to the back.

Patterned papers, music, maps and text. Sealed with Matte Medium
