Original artwork description:

My oriental dressing table always looks so nice in the morning light with my jewellery and perfumes on.
It provided the setting for this painting of a Chanel perfume bottle, together with a favourite earring and ring.
The black lacquer surface of the table has an ornate gold Japanese scene painted on that shows the wear of the years of use. The geometric border on the table draws your eye to the corner of the table and the shiny surface reflects the perfume bottle and the glint of the jewellery.
