Early Morning in Gion Kobu - original oil painting on 46cm x 33cm linen canvas
Every January in Kyoto, the geisha and maiko of the neighborhood renew their vows and visit the local teahouses to wish the beginning of a prosperous new year. This is known as "Shigyoshiki". This is a painting of the maiko (apprentice geisha) during Shigyoshiki in the Gion Kobu district of Kyoto, Japan.
All of my artwork is original and signed, comes with a certificate of authenticity and is securely shipped with tracking.
