Original artwork description:

This 'Eager Hares' original drawing is 165mm x 295mm in size. The hares arrived early in a tiny rowing boat to the party as they were told there would be a surprise. They sit eagerly on hand stained paper which gives them an aged appearance like old calico toys. 'Eager Hares' has been drawn in pencil and ink. Texture and detail has then been added with the skinniest of pen nibs which creates lots of detail to look at close up. I love to experiment with abstract shape and pattern within a drawing and my imagination meanders in a happy way as I draw using words to tell a small tale within the drawing.
'Eager Hares' display characteristics of human behaviour that we can all identify with. They could be you, me or anyone of your family or friends...we can all arrive early at a party in the hope of something sweet happening!
