Artist's description:

For a long time I had wanted to pay a visit to Dungeness .Ever since seeing a programme about Derek Jarmans garden the barren landscape and the Nuclear power station on this part of the Kent coast I had planned to visit, when I eventully arrived I was not disappointed, being interested in gardens and painting I found the area extremely interesting even on the dull day I experienced, the place had an atmosphere all of its own ,a mixture of the fifties ,small town America ,the outback with a windswept pebble beach all rolled into one ,plenty of inspiration for artists and gardeners and well worth a visit .
