There are three 12"x12" sand dune paintings that are sister paintings; painted on wooden custom fabricated art boxes.
Each painting can stand on its own, however more effective as a triptych spaced one or two inches apart either horizontally or vertically.

Each painting is highly textured by mixing sand into acrylic, applied with a palette knife. The details are scraped and etched into the wet paint, then sealed with a poly-acrylic matte finish. The 2" thick sides are painted as an extension of the surface design which gives the piece a contemporary and finished look.
'Sand Dunes' was inspired by the beauty of the North Florida natural beaches that still protect many sand dunes.
