A very bold and dramatic piece. "Don't Look Now, But The Lake Is On Fire" is a mixed-media work that combines wax texturing, acrylic base colour, and soft gestures of oil paint over the strong underlying red base.
I was very much inspired by landscape imagery, specifically where land meets water, and how natural colors can change so quickly where they collide.
Perfect over any piece of furniture or as a standalone piece. Has been varnished semi-gloss and was painted in a smoke-free studio space.
