As a child, I never played with dolls. Of course, I had a couple of them, but my activities with those were mostly just to take measure, and off I was again to another creative project building a doll house, constructing a doll pram, sewing a doll dress, knitting a doll blanket… But I never learnt to actually play.
Now I use (a part of) a baby doll found at a flea market as a painting model. It has a bit creepy look as it has no eyes, just deep empty holes. Yet, on the painting it almost feels like it`s got sight, and in some mysterious way become alive.
