Donkeys are curious and I like to watch them when they are not loaded with work that humans forced them to do. In this portrait, I showed the donkey as he is, just walking in the field and seeing a human, looking into one's eyes without fear, but with curiosity.
This is the 1st oil painting of Collection "Animal Portraits - True stories about the best friends ever".
Animals are so sensitive and fragile beings in the world. All of them have their own character. They are unique, there are no replicas among them. Being vegan for many years I've been feeling the suffering and vulnerability of animals. I try to speak on their behalf, but I hardly have enough mental strength to put into words. So I paint them. I paint them as I see them - beautiful, bright, curious, and best friends ever.
