Original artwork description:
”DNA Mutation” is an eight foot tall Cedar structure with a slotted base. The title is referential, inspired by the plethora of images of DNA in varied and fascinating patterns.
The surface is treated with 3 coats of a steel impregnated liquid. That black surface is then sprayed with an activator. The ensuing chemical reactions turned the surface into a patina emulating rusted steel.
The sculpture weighs 16 lbs. +- The base weight 22 lbs. +-

cedar and faux steel impregnated paint
