Large, semi-abstract landscape painting.

This artwork was inspired by a long, contemplative walk through the English countryside. The dark, moody sky stretches over the gently rolling hills of Sussex. The central area of white and hints of pink in the clouds, indicate the setting sun, and rain can be seen falling in the distance.

The oil paint has been layered and scraped back with more layers added, to give a feeling of depth and mysterious atmosphere, using both palette knife and brushwork.

This piece was created using Michael Harding Professional Artists oil colours on gesso primed board. It is signed and dated on the back and comes with a signed Certificate of Authenticity.
