Original artwork description:

Born in a developing country amidst economical, social, and political instability, I was introduced to a lot of local myths and beliefs about the image of the ideal woman. Under patriarchy, the primary role of an average woman (especially a married woman) in a household is giving – giving a child, giving food, giving comfort, and giving pleasure. In a way, I have always found that society has embedded a connection between women and food. In an average middle-class family, a woman is expected to cook food, at the same time her body is often perceived as a consumption object. In this project, I have handled this subject with a subtle humorous tone.
