This intense and feral rook watercolour is painted on a full deckle edge handmade watercolour sheet. The paper is sublime and made at Two Rivers Mill in Watchet, Somerset UK.
I loved the rooks stance and gaze and juxtaposing their poised presence with the wild forest edge created the mood I wanted.

The surface of the 100% cotton rag handmade paper has a slight tooth and that allowed me to get subtle texture especially in the rooks' dark plumage

This is an original watercolour on archival acid-free 100% cotton paper and is signed on the front.
