Artwork description:

This collagraph is inspired by the nightmare we have created in our seas and oceans caused by plastic pollution. The impact on the wildlife symbolised by the octopus arm reaching out. It made me think of the poem by Stevie Smith "Not waving but drowning" this though not in water but the rubbish we have thrown into the seas.

The collagraph is made from waste cardboard, hand rolled and handprinted, as in the nature of collagraphs and the handmade process they have some variations. This I feel is part of the charm of printmaking and makes each print into a unique artwork.
