Artist's description:

Jodpokhri. Comes from jod-pokhri. Or twin ponds.

Mystical forests off Darjeeling on route to Mirik. So there I was at Jodpokhri on a misty morning with the Himalayas before me and a deep forest to my left. A lone cottage in its midst. Inaccessible now. Even scary. Sloping roofs, visible through dense flowery undergrowths. Some memories have to be painted. Darjeeling 2.

Materials used:

Paper, acrylic paint

Darjeeling 2 (2014)
