Original artwork description:

When pondering the poets from the past, and every song created in Brazil, the heart is the monolithic hero, the reason for love, the reason for casting reason to the wind and overcoming our own mind. All the while, the brain does all heavy lifting...actually, all the lifting. Yet, the heart still takes the glory.

I thought it would be fun to let the brain have its say.

As with everything in my studio, it starts with a spontaneous "oh, this would be fun". I created a plaster brain and wanted to take a picture, so I created a placard with some brown linen paper stock I had lying around. Used a silver paint pen and a stencil and defined my sculpture, rather on the nose.

I liked this placard and decided it needed its own life and its story to be told. Hence, more paper stock, some drawings, all mounted on a nice topographical wall covering paper to make a nifty little piece of storytelling.

Cheers.

Materials used:

Linen paper, wall covering paper, vinyl lettering, acrylic paint
