Corporal Love Groove volunteered for secret drug testing during the first world war. The drugs were administered whilst wearing a gas mask in a gas chamber. He recalls being in a padded cell with just a thin exercise mat and a blanket. The room was orange, the walls "flowed down onto the floor like lava and there were butterflies everywhere". Framed in its original period wooden frame in good condition.

Materials used:

Acyrlic paint, metallic paint, glitter paint, ink, coloured pencil and collage on an black and white photograph from first world war
