Artwork description:

This is a reduction linocut print of an alley way running around the back of cottages in Cornwall. The print has been printed with each colour laid and then removed before the next colour being laid on top of the printed image. It maintains a slight semi-abstract appearance and was an exercise in creating a flat colour reduction linocut.

A simple image that captures those small cornish alley ways in many of the small fishing ports of Cornwall like Charlestown. Made from a sketch circa 2011 in Falmouth, Cornwall.

[Each image here runs in sequence from No.1 - 4]

Materials used:

Waterbased printing ink on recycled cartridge paper.
