This copper vessel is painted just over life size and is a favorite object for my students to draw. I've always loved it and wanted to paint it. Initially this was a demo to show how to start a painting with a pastel underpainting and then paint oil on top. The warm orange underpainting sneaks through every now and then to add to the warmth of this traditionally painted copper pitcher.
My signature is scratched into the paint on the lower right.
