Original Large Watercolour Painting on heavy 350 gsm hand made watercolour paper

This outcrop of Gritstone boulders is quite near to my home, and I have spent a lot of time there, looking, climbing, and painting.

The painting is on heavy sized and primed handmade watercolour paper.

This work is part of a series of paintings and drawings made at the Bridestones, West Yorkshire.

All pictures will be carefully wrapped and securely shipped to you wherever you are.

Size of painting
430mm x 610mm
17 x 24 inches

Paintings and drawings from Yorkshire and the South Pennine uplands
I work with the ephemeral – the everchanging, things that are not quite there; pools of water and rivers flowing, ice melting, clouds passing, birds flocking in flight, or the wind blowing. How to record these passing states? This is my question as I work
On a meander through the peaty tumps of moorland sedge and cotton grass, I find ancient reservoir workings open to the upland winds, connected by old stone conduits that thread an informal network of byways amongst the bogs for sheep and other wayfarers. Here, the shining water mirrors the scudding clouds and the winds action, alive with wheeling waders and geese.

You can find more of my moorland paintings in the 'Moorland Paintings' section of my shop.
